What is this project about?
Our library needs to replace our out of date computers, 3 computers with towers and 2 new laptops for the public use. The library also needs a new photocopier and 4 new printers.
Why is this project important to the community?
Our library is the hub of our community. It is a place where people come to use our computers for research and to make resumes. It is a place where they can check out books or DVD's and other items. It is a social place where they can come in, have a coffee, sit in a comfy chair and read a magazine. The library is a place where everyone is welcome and also one place where so many services are available such as printing whether it be flyers or pictures off a phone. Photocopying and laminating are all available in one place. We try to offer programs during the year that would be interesting for everyone whether it is wreath making, or making Christmas stockings or having different speakers come in such as Farmer Ted who gives advice on growing your veggies etc. We are always open to suggestions. We want our library to be everyone's welcome space.
