Reconstruction of the Severn Bridge Fairgrounds Horse Ring Fence

I was at the fair this year and the gate into the ring came off the hinges , I didn’t see how it happened but in the middle of a class for the horses and kids ponys it caused a long delay in the one class , it could have been bad if a horse or kid on a pony was going in or out could have caused a accident. It took the men there 30 minutes to fix it so the horse show could get under way again . This is a fun family show with back yard pets and kids too

The Severn Fairgrounds is a lovely venue for both horse enthusiasts and fair goers. It keeps the small town fair tradition alive and it should be supported however it can, including with new ring fencing.

The fairgrounds have been a cherished place for this community for many years. Having a safe place for the traditional and meaningful activities to continue is important. Having this for the community so we can continue to offer optimal events year round is a significant part of the charm to Severn Bridge:)

The Severn Bridge fair has been a staple for so many young equestrians since its beginning. As a child I showed there and now my children are starting their riding careers there. This is the story for so many community members. As we see many local fairs numbers dwindling it is so amazing to see the large turnout for the horse show and fall fair. It would be so lovely to see the riding ring redone to keep this tradition alive and be a safe place for our equestrians. With a new riding ring the fair board can host not only the fall fair horse show but possibly a local show series or host clinics or horse events. This would provide the community with a much needed local venue for equestrian events. I truly hope the fairgrounds can receive funding to upgrade the riding facilities and grow our equestrian community.
