The kindergarten students deserve a nice big yard
I have worked at Parry Sound Public School since it opened 9 years ago. The first day, we opened the doors and let 100+ little children into a postage stamp sized yard with a 15 year old slide ( moved from another school) and a plastic purple dinosaur for climbing. It was the most pathetic sight.Nine+ years later, the yard has been enlarged, the slide was taken out, and the little purple dinosaur remains.We need to encourage risk playing and sharing and turn taking with new playground equipment.
Outdoor play is so important for the littles, this is such a great way to support young children’s growth a development. I think this would be a great addition!
Would love to see our school and community benefit from the ELK playground.
