Mountain Kidz Klub – Growing Youth, Building Community

What is this project about?

The Mountain Kidz Klub Community Learning & Engagement Project supports inclusive, family-oriented programming for children and youth in the Mountain area of Hamilton. Through seasonal community events, educational activities, and volunteer-driven initiatives, Mountain Kidz Klub fosters social connection, creativity, and belonging among local families. Annual highlights include holiday celebrations, outdoor festivals, and skill-building workshops that bring neighbours together in safe, supportive environments. Led by dedicated volunteers, the project emphasizes learning through play, community service, and mentorship—encouraging children to “Just Be Their S.E.L.F.” (Smart, Energetic, Loving, and Fun). Funding will help sustain operations, expand outreach, and strengthen partnerships that ensure equitable access to engaging experiences for all kids and families in the community.

Why is this project important to the community?

Mountain Kidz Klub provides an inclusive, welcoming space where children, families, and seniors can connect, learn, and grow together. Many local families face barriers to recreation and community participation, and our programs ensure that no one is left out. By offering year-round events, learning opportunities, and volunteer experiences, we help build confidence, connection, and pride in Hamilton’s Eastmount neighbourhood — strengthening the bonds that make our community resilient and caring.
