Hybrid Meeting Access at the Midland Public Library

What is this project about?

The Midland Public Library’s Assembly Room is a well-used community space, accessible, open to community groups, small and emerging businesses, local boards, and for public programming.
The space was opened 15 years ago and doesn’t have sufficient presentation or hybrid meeting technology to accommodate current needs or to provide the community an effective, affordable, accessible, hybrid meeting space.
The cost of this technology puts it out of the reach of the community groups, businesses, boards, and volunteers that use the space. Help us build our community up and build equity by providing the technology needed to make it a truly effective space.

Why is this project important to the community?

No other publicly available spaces in our area provide inexpensive, accessible hybrid meeting space, and many of the organizations, businesses, boards, and volunteers in our community need this access to continue their work building our community. Equitable access to high quality presentation and meeting technology for small, emerging businesses and not for profit groups will allow them to prosper, and allow our community to grow and prosper.
