Hands-Community Playground Update

What is this project about?

This project will revitalize the outdoor playground at Hands’ Oak Street location by replacing aging safety surfacing and removing an unused mini-putt area. These improvements will create a safer, more accessible and welcoming space where children and youth can play, develop skills and participate in therapeutic and recreational activities.

Why is this project important to the community?

Children and youth of all abilities need safe, inclusive spaces where they can play, build confidence and develop social, physical and emotional skills. Updating the Oak Street playground will address aging infrastructure and improve safety and accessibility, ensuring families in our community can continue to benefit from outdoor therapeutic and recreational activities.
