Our project aims to improve accessibility and safety at the Coldwater United Church while sustaining vital community meal programs.
We will replace the church’s cracked and uneven front steps, landing, and handrail, applying a durable, non-slip epoxy coating to prevent falls and ensure safe access for all visitors. As the church serves as a hub for numerous community activities and outreach programs, these repairs are essential to maintaining a safe and inclusive space for everyone.
Funding will also support two essential food initiatives: the weekly Community Hot Lunch Program, which offers free, nutritious meals to local residents, and the Breakfast for Kids Program, which provides daily breakfasts for students at the local public school. With a key sponsor withdrawing support for 2026 and rising grocery costs putting pressure on remaining contributors, this assistance will help ensure these programs continue meeting the growing needs of our community.
Together, these improvements will strengthen safety, inclusion, and food security for people of all ages in Coldwater.
