What is this project about?
We have changed heating systems from oil to natural gas. Have done that, it is easier to run a 24k generac system on natural gas. We have flooding in the basement during the ice storm with no power for 5 days. We want to install a 24k generac system so that we are prepared for an electrical outage plus make available to to community a 24 hour round the clock warming area for anyone in need during the cold weather and a cooling centre if needed in hot weather. ( when we changed the heating system from oil to natural gas, we also installed air conditioning )
Why is this project important to the community?
This would give us a reliable community centre in adverse weather or power outage plus as we are improving the hall, we would like to see a senior citizens group formed and use the hall for exercise programs etc.
