Through implementation, industry partners now see the value in functional training that fosters the applications that are already in place. The studio is currently expanding to AI + Robotics + all things Design through: Robotics & Automation | Software Applications and Podcast & Industry partner social connections
PRESENT:
Students have found connections between AUTOMATION / ROBOTICS and direct PRODUCT PLACEMENT. Students are developing their skills in real work applications, and are being mentored by industry leaders to apply these skills to workplace and educational pathways of engineering and beyond.
NEXT:
Studio 138 has implemented strategies for full AI alternatives for student learning. This shift and augmentation will allow students to understand AI | CODING | DESIGN & BUILD | AUTOMATION | PNEUMATICS and other ADDITIVE [3D PRINTING] combined with robotic applications on all systems and corporate identity levels.

This studio has taught me so much from drawing a cube to making 3D models and having fun in the process!
if it weren’t for Mr. Currie I would never know about Krita. A drawing and editing application. Using Krita is better than using paper, because on Krita when you erase something it doesn’t leave erase marks. And you aren’t using 5-10 pages because you messed up on your drawing.
When I first started this class I had no idea about what it was about and what I would learn. But now I know so much to drawing on Krita to 3D modelling on Autodesk and this class has helped me expand on finding my career
As a student at North Dundas, i’ve always been curious about exploring the more technical and design driven side of learning and really have never had the opportunity due to limited tech software at the school, that is until Scott Currie. As a teacher he has been going above and beyond when it comes to teaching me and my fellow students on how to use different tech and design software such as Photoshop, Fusion, Krita and many others. He has opened up a completely new side of learning that i believed was not possible in my school and embodies what every teacher should aspire to be like. I’ve never seen a man more driven in providing only the best for his students and i truly believe that he is an amazing role model to those around him. He is doing his absolute best providing us with the amazing studio 138 here at North Dundas but has limited tech here, with some students still stuck using old laptops mostly unable to run today’s software.That is why i believe that it is crucial for him to get this grant, as I know that every cent will be put into getting the best possible technology for his students which will provide us with great opportunities now and later down the road. If anyone deserves this grant, i truly believe that Scott Currie is the person who will put it to the best use possible.
The education of our young generations is critical for the long-term health of our region, the Counties SDG and for our entire Nation. Having a STEM focuses component to the high school curriculum will expose students to a wealth of employment opportunities they may never have known even existed. By using industry grade software and hardware in our schools, specifically at Studio 138, the connection between real world education and real world careers will be made for students and launch them on an exciting and rewarding career path. This is made even more critical, as such classes are not part of the standard curriculum, if it were not for the efforts of Scott Currie creating Studio 138 and making them a part of the high school curriculum.
