Bruce Grey Mentorship’s mission is to match children and youth with mentors who help build confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging. We know that the strongest mentoring relationships often begin with shared experiences. By first bringing mentors and mentees together through group activities—whether discovering a common interest in cooking, coding, or even a shared love of Hawaiian pizza—we create natural connections that lead to lasting, meaningful matches.
This opportunity will provide the resources and capacity needed to deliver a full year of diverse, skill-building group programs designed to engage youth and foster these relationships. Funding will directly support:
1/ A year-long culinary program where youth learn to grow, prepare, and cook food.
2/ A technology program focused on coding and graphic design.
3/ A summer sports club that promotes teamwork, confidence, and active living.
4/ An art club featuring watercolour painting and creative expression.
By supporting a variety of interests, this project will help us reach more youth, keeping them engaged in positive activities and connected with supportive adults. The grant will make it possible to cover essential costs—such as program materials, instructor and mentor support, and facility use—ensuring we can offer consistent, high-quality programming year-round.
