The Makerspace at Milton Public Library’s Beaty Branch is a transformative initiative designed to empower residents through hands-on learning, digital literacy, and creative exploration. Scheduled to launch in 2027, the Makerspace will offer access to cutting-edge tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, vinyl and sublimation printers, embroidery and sewing machines, multimedia production stations, and a sound booth. These resources will support STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, entrepreneurship, and intergenerational learning.
This space will serve as a hub for innovation, skill development, and community connection. It will host workshops, drop-in sessions, and collaborative projects tailored to youth, seniors, newcomers, and underserved groups. By providing free access to technology and creative tools, the Makerspace will help bridge the digital divide and foster a culture of lifelong learning and inclusion.
