CIREL (Ready for Tomorrow) is an innovative bilingual program created by UCBH (Community Unity for Holistic Well-being) in London, Ontario.
The project aims to help newcomers and vulnerable individuals build employment resilience, confidence, and long-term inclusion in the workforce.
CIREL ((Centre d’Innovation et de Résilience pour l’Emploi Local / Centre for Innovation and Resilience in Employment and Local Integration) offers a three-phase pathway:
- Prepare: holistic assessment, stabilization of basic needs, and adaptation to Canadian workplace culture;
- Experiment : supervised internships in local companies to gain real Canadian experience;
- Anchor: personalized post-employment follow-up to prevent job loss and promote well-being at work.
The program bridges people, employers, and communities, ensuring that inclusion is not just about finding a job it’s about keeping it and thriving.
Offered in English and French, CIREL directly supports The Commonwell’s L.E.A.F. priorities of learning, resiliency, and community growth.
